SOUP101's News

Hello everyone, thank you for 64 followers!

I am always grateful for those who decide to follow me for whatever reason.

And I'm guessing that the big reason currently comes from the ninja collab I was apart of.

Also, that's a lot of notifications!

FUN FACT!

Sonic Adventure 2 had a cut character named Terios, who would have been the Shadow of the game.

-Looney Tunes theme plays-

That's all folks!

[In all seriousness, I mean no harm. I just wanted to be a part of this weird but funny bandwagon.]

So let's start at the beginning, I saw a live performance by Good Kid. It was great! Being the third time I saw them live. This time the venue was at The Danforth Music Hall, close to there previous venue at The Opera House.

I managed to snag there latest release - Good Kid EP 4 - on CD and a shirt with the tour dates on it. The venue was interesting too, an old movie theater converted to a music venue. Now a heritage site under the province of Ontario.

The night was good too, not too cold after the show was done.

Then comes Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and let me tell you-

What a Wonderful Day!

The movie was Great! I really enjoyed it, the story was great and the cinematography of it was stunning. By showing and not explicitly telling, it lets you connect the dots. But still takes it slow at times to explain something by a natural conversation between characters.

So overall, I would highly recommend this movie if you are able to watch it in theaters - or at all.

Sorry for missing an update in June, I wrote this a few weeks ago but didn't get around to posting it till now.

FUN FACT!

The Danforth Music Hall was designated as a heritage property in 1985.iu_1235361_8336041.webp

The Godzilla x Kong movie was pretty entertaining, I liked how the big monkey punched the big lizard.

So yeah, take that Rotten Tomatoes for giving the movie a 54% on the site. I don't think those critics know how to have a good time, but 3C Films does.

[I like his movie news, watched him since the Wally's Wonderland days]

FUN FACT!

The first time Godzilla and King Kong met up to fight one another was in 1962.

Also, the alternate endings for America and Japan being produced for the original movie is fake. A weird urban legend if you will.

So yeah, fifty different accounts follow me now. I am both grateful and confused on why I have this many followers since I didn't any music last year, and only one art piece to send off 2023 with.

But I am still thankful for everyone who decided to click the orange follow button. So thank you for choosing to follow me

[Personal favorite AMV bellow]

FUN FACT!

The voice of Naota in flcl came from Barbara Goodson, known from her role in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as Rita Repulsa when voicing the character.

Fear and Hate are like a Yin and Yang. You can't have one without the other.

These two can fuel a nation into paranoia about thy neighbor, start

wars, end all.

And this being no speculation, lest we forget about our red scare's,

fighting those we are told just for different views, or ending

something with a bang.

FUN FACT!

The original actors that played the Katayanagi twins in

Scott Pilgrim VS. The World - the movie couldn't speak English.

So they just didn't speak at all in the movie.

Ever just think of when modern pop-culture stared? Like, when was it? Since we reference materials used in the past, when was the starting point of this? How do the adults of the current generation affect it? How long till the 90's get rebooted like the 80's? Or referenced as heavily as the 80's currently is?

Like was the 80's a rehash of the 50's with those adults now having control on how the world works? Or the 90's taking after the 60's with it's out there style? Evolving to fit with the time?

As the current day becomes a melting pot of several generations, who knows what will influence those people in the future. That's my take away from this.

FUN FACT!

Billy Joel created this song to encapsulate the past 40 years of world history just in one song. Doing the past 40 years since he turned 40 in 1989.
